Jennifer Uman, a New York City esthetician, commissioned three steps aheadto design a visual identity and web presence to promote her practice inNew York’s SoHo district. For the identity phase, we were visuallyinspired by the signage and decor of apothecaries and chemist shopsfrom the turn of the century, which helped us to bring forth theholistic and botanical nature of Jennifer’s products and services. Inbuilding the web site, it was our goal to create an extremely simple,one-page experience that would entice potential clients to visit, andalso inform current ones of Jennifer’s services, contact information,and location.
